QuoteOnSpot is the software at quoteonspot.com. We are not the contractor doing the work. The contractor who sends the quote is the business the customer is hiring.
Contractor accounts: name, email, password, business details, trade, and the prices you save.
From the homeowner, when they use a photo link: name, phone or email, job address, a written description, and the photos they upload.
Photos and the job description are used to draft a quote for that contractor. The draft can be wrong. The contractor reviews the prices before the customer sees a total. We do not sell the photos.
Job photos are processed on QuoteOnSpot’s own server by a vision model we run ourselves. That model reads the picture and drafts line items. We do not send customer photos to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any other public AI company. We do not use customer photos to train a public model.
The written job description, not the photos, may be sent to xAI to look up typical labor time and the price of a part or lumber. That request is used to draft the quote. It is not used to train a public model.
The contractor on that account can see the photos, notes, and quote. Email is sent through our mail provider when a contractor emails a quote or resets a password. Card payments, if you upgrade, are handled by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
We keep account data and job photos while the account is open. A contractor can delete a quote, which deletes the photos stored with it. Closing an account removes that account’s quotes, invoices, and photos from our server.
